Stuart Kaija
What is your professional background/experience?
I tree planted across Canada before deciding to swap shovels for drip torches. I did five years with BCWS (three with Arrow IA and two with Monashee UC), then took a detour as a software developer before heading back to school for GIS.
What education or courses have you completed?
I have a BA in Psychology (Wilfrid Laurier University), an Advanced Diploma in GIS (Selkirk College), and a web development bootcamp under my belt.
What is your favorite thing about the work you do?
The people — working with smart, kind, fun, and capable humans makes it all worthwhile.
Which project are you most proud of and why?
I’m proud of all of them!
How do you spend your time when you’re not working on Cathro Collective projects?
Playing music, hanging outside (biking, hiking, camping, beach days), cooking, reading, and spending time with friends.
